Fuel Efficient Formula
AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil efficiently transfers energy from the engine to the drive-train. Its low coefficient of friction inhibits the energy loss to "drag" common to high viscosity oils. AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil surpasses the API Energy Conserving Rating requirements and provides significant fuel savings, with additional savings in oil make-up for over-the-road service.

Unsurpassed Engine Protection

AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil's higher VI provides a better protective film at higher temperatures than conventional SAE 40 oils, while remaining fluid at subzero temperatures. In every engine tested, AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil's unique technology significantly reduced ring wear, cylinder bore polishing, cylinder lining wear, oil consumption, piston deposits and ring breakage.
Low Temperature Protection
AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil remains fluid at temperatures as low as -60° F (-51° C). It circulates rapidly to provide vital lubrication and prevent engine wear caused by lack of oil flow. AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil allows quicker, easier cold temperature starting with significantly reduced engine wear.
Reduces Oil Consumption
AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil loses only 6.5 percent of its mass to high temperature volatilization. Conventional multigrade oils often lose over 15 percent. Lower volatility means less oil vapor passing into the combustion chamber, resulting in a reduction in oil consumption and hydrocarbon emissions. Additionally, lower volatilization helps AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil retain its viscosity characteristics after high temperature service for continued dependable protection and excellent fuel economy.

Non-Foaming
AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil contains highly effective anti-foam agents to prevent oil foaming.

Extended Drain Intervals
AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil is specifically designed for long drain capability in both diesel and gasoline engines. Its unique synthetic formulation, improved detergent/dispersant capabilities and long drain additive package ensure maximum engine protection, cleanliness and performance over extended drain intervals. The extended drain intervals allowable with AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil reduce vehicle downtime and waste oil disposal costs.

Service Life: AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil is recommended for extended drain intervals in unmodified(1), mechanically sound(2) vehicles or equipment as follows:

Personal Light Truck Diesel or Gasoline Engine Service

  • Normal Service(3) - Up to 25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first, or longer based on oil analysis.


  • Severe Service(4) – Up to 15,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first, or longer based on oil analysis.


  • Replace AMSOIL Ea™ full flow oil filter or Donaldson Endurance™ ELF 7349 at the time of oil change up to 25,000 miles (other brands at standard OEM* intervals).

Commercial or Fleet Vehicles, Long-Haul Trucks, Marine Craft, RV, Off-Road Equipment

  • Non-EGR equipped diesels – extend drain intervals up to two times (2X) the OEM* recommended drain interval or one year, whichever comes first, or longer based on oil analysis.


  • EGR equipped or low emission diesels – extend drain intervals based on oil analysis or use the OEM* recommended interval.


  • Replace Donaldson Endurance™ or AMSOIL Ea™ full flow oil filters at the time of oil change up to two times (2X) longer than the OEM* standard interval, not to exceed 60,000 miles in long-haul trucks.

 

*OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer

(1) Where the engine or operating conditions have been modified from the original manufacturers' design, no oil change interval recommendation is made. Oil change intervals are at the owner's discretion. Examples include the use of performance computer chips; modified exhaust, fuel or air induction systems and the use of fuels other than those recommended for normal operation by the manufacturers.

(2) Engines are in good working condition and within the factory design settings. Mechanically sound engines, for example, do not leak oil or consume excessive amounts, are not worn out, do not overheat, do not have internal or external anti-freeze leaks and have a properly working emission control system. AMSOIL recommends repairs be made to malfunctioning engines prior to the installation of AMSOIL synthetic oils.

(3) Personal transportation vehicles frequently traveling greater than 10 miles at a time and not operating under severe service.

(4) Diesel and gasoline engines – commercial or fleet vehicles, extensive engine idling, daily short trip driving less than 10 miles (16 km), frequent towing, plowing or hauling heavy loads, frequent driving in dusty conditions. Also, first and subsequent use of AMSOIL engine oil in gasoline engines with 100,000 miles or greater and turbo/supercharged gasoline engines.

AMSOIL Ea™ and Donaldson Endurance™ full flow oil filters are designed for extended drain intervals. They stop smaller particles, have less restriction and last longer than regular filters. For best performance, use AMSOIL Ea™ or Donaldson Endurance™ oil filters. Oil Analyzers Inc., 715-395-0222, is a division of AMSOIL that provides cost effective, quality oil analysis services.

This product is not expected to cause health concerns when used for the intended application and according to the recommendations in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). An MSDS is available upon request at 715-392-7101  Keep Out of Reach of Children. Don't pollute. Return used oil to collection centers.
